Babies in the hands of monsters
We are shocked whenever we hear about the death of an infant or toddler, at the hands of parents. It is equally, if not more shocking when we hear that a parent’s boyfriend or girlfriend is the cause of ending the life of a child. This horrific crime seems to be part of our news more and more each day.
Alarmingly, almost 72% of children are killed by their parents were 6 years old or younger. And one-third of the victims were just under 1 year of age.
What is going on with parents today? Are parent’s unable to cope with the responsibilities and demands of parenting? And for those children who are killed by a parent’s boyfriend or girlfriend, and the parent’s unwilling to be more caution when it comes to the safety of the child?
