WE THE PEOPLE
Throughout our younger years we are sold on the notion that this country was built by immigrants - those who fled Europe, Central America, South America and other countries to escape religious or political persecution… to forge new lives under a philosophy of inclusion, separation of church and state and democracy.
This country was literally built upon the backs of immigrants and forced slave labor - whose blood, sweat, tears and lives are the brick and mortar of the country. Yet today, we are living under an existential threat to democracy, freedom and our very soul. This country willfully stands by and allows those seeking asylum to die of malnutrition, lack of medical or even basic care.... we stand by and watch children die on our borders ... and do nothing.
On a daily basis, we see American citizens, legal immigrants and those seeking asylum being abused, their rights and protections granted to them under the constitution and various rules of law, being purposefully ignored and infringed upon.
In addition to the atrocities of immigration policies, woman are being “put in our place” with a movement toward more restrictive legislation related to abortion rights, and protections given to rapists and pedophiles. Pedophiles and rapists have infiltrated all branches of government including the executive office. At what point do we say enough is enough? At what point do we fight for the liberties and rights men and women and children? At what point do WE THE PEOPLE fight back and reclaim our country and our birthright of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness?
